First Animation!

This is my first ever animation, which uses stop motion and pixelation techniques as well as some illustration work. I created this short as part of my first lens based rotation on my foundation course. There were multiple briefs but I chose to use the “Memories” brief (with some “Passing of Time”). The memory in this animation is going to coffee shops with my friends after finishing some days at college, they are some of my happiest memories.

Critical Studies Review 1: A Game of Thrones

As part of my foundation course I have started a new blog: this is a link to my first post, my first Critical Studies review, which I chose to base on the first “A Song of Ice and Fire” book, “A Game of Thrones”. I hope you like it! I might continue to put work on both of these blogs, but I’ve worked so hard on SJ Art that I don’t want to leave it and start a fresh! Watch this space.

Manga Art

I thought I’d mix it up a bit and add some of my manga artwork to my wordpress account! I really enjoy creating illustration pieces alongside the work I make at university.

So what do you think? Should I keep adding some of my manga pieces to my blog?

In No Particular Order…

Wow, it’s been a while since my last post! I have been trying to keep up the blog but the animation that I wanted to upload as part of my first rotation of my foundation course is taking forever to upload on YouTube… it’s only 30 seconds or so! Instead I’ve decided to just upload what I can when I can, as I don’t have pictures of all of my work!

This paper weight is from the 3D Hot Glass rotation where we were taught how to manipulate hot glass in a number of ways. The piece was just for fun but it is probably my favourite hot glass out come! Pretty pleased for a first attempt!
